Below is a general schedule of a typical day. The schedule may vary according to the weather.

Arrival Times
Malaika Learning Center opens promptly at 6:30 AM. If a child arrives prior to 6:30 AM please remain with the child until, a staff member arrives to open the center. The arrival time on your agreement will remain unless the parent requests a change.
It is normal for some children to have difficulty separating from parents in the morning.
Please be brief (no more than 5 min) during these transition times. The longer you prolong the departure, the harder it gets. Teachers need to focus their attention on the other children. A smile, good-bye kiss, and a reassuring word that you will be back are all that is needed in the morning. Both drop off and pick-up is a time of testing when two different authority figures are present (parent and caregiver).
It is important to have your child in their class by 9:30 AM so they can begin the day. We will not receive children after 9:30 AM.
